Hyndburn Social Housing contract

Planned maintenance on our latest scaffold contract based in our own town of Accrington got the go-ahead and underway in March of this year this contract is set to run for up to 4 years with a steady turnaround of scaffold following completion of each property.

For these works Mitchell’s are working closely with Hyndburn Repairs to provide safe working access for the repointing works

Where the scaffold is erected to bungalows the platforms are being set to access the peaks on each gable end and where the property requires, also to the pikes on the front elevations to access the areas above the windows. The Semi-detached houses are constructed following the same plan with table lifts to the pikes and front elevations. And the 2 story flats also require 1 and 2 number of fully boarded lifts.

Ladders are installed only from the base lifts for access to the higher portion of the scaffold with Padding in place on all communal areas and around door access, to date there has been no requirement to re-site satellite dishes but due care has been taken around the boiler flues.
